Panama Viejo Ruins. Founded in 1591 by Pedro Arias de Avila and destroyed in 1671 by Welsh buccaneer Sir Henry Morgan.




Casco Viejo, the site of the new Panama City established c. 1673 after the destruction of the old,
approximately five miles west. Now the oldest part of modern day Panama City. Looking down the coast at modern day Panama City.
